Hi, I’m Finn.

I’m a nutritional scientist and a health and fitness coach from Kiel, Germany, and I offer coaching in English and German. My passion for health and fitness started early: I began playing floorball at the age of nine and have trained with weights since 2006—and I’ve been coaching friends ever since. Since 2024, I’ve been working as an independent online nutrition and fitness coach. Drawing on my background as a sports and fitness manager and as a nutritional scientist, I help people lose weight, improve metabolic and liver health, and build habits that work in everyday life.

My professional journey

Sports and fitness administrator

2009-2011, Schleswig, Germany

My journey in the fitness industry began with my training as a sports and fitness manager. During this time, I developed a deep interest in sports nutrition and exercise physiology. While working with clients and fitness professionals, I gained valuable insights into training methods, customer support, and the importance of personalized fitness plans. However, I soon realized that I wanted to explore nutrition on a deeper scientific level

Nutritional Science Studies, BSc. + MSc.

2011-2016, Jena, Germany

Eager to expand my knowledge, I pursued a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences. My studies focused on nutritional physiology and metabolism, exploring how macronutrients, vitamins, and minerals affect health and performance. I became particularly interested in diet-related diseases such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and metabolic disorders. This passion led me to take the next step: a doctorate in nutritional sciences

PhD & Postdoctoral Research

2016-2023, Vienna, Austria

My doctoral and postdoctoral research at the University of Vienna focused on liver diseases, inflammation, and the role of nutrition in metabolic health. I conducted human and animal studies, investigated cancer cell lines, and published multiple scientific papers. This experience deepened my expertise in evidence-based nutrition and reinforced my mission: to bridge the gap between research and practical nutritional consulting.

From Science to Practice

Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in both research and practical application—from the fitness industry to academic studies and scientific research. My background in sports and nutrition sciences allows me to take a well-rounded approach to health, performance, and metabolic well-being.

Throughout my career, I have seen how misinformation and conflicting advice make it difficult for people to make informed decisions about their nutrition. My goal is to provide clear, science-based guidance that translates research into practical, personalized strategies.

Whether in sports performance, metabolic health, or everyday nutrition, I focus on helping people apply evidence-based knowledge to reach their individual goals—without unnecessary restrictions or myths
