About
From Science to Strength:
Evidence based. Personal. Effective.
“With a background in sports and nutritional science, I support you with practical, evidence-based coaching that enhances health and performance.”
Hi, I’m Finn.
I am a nutritional scientist and a health and fitness coach from Kiel, Germany, and I offer coaching in both English and German. My passion for health and fitness started early. I began playing floorball at the age of nine, and I have been training with weights since 2006. I have been supporting friends with their training ever since.
Since 2024, I have worked as an independent online coach for nutrition and fitness. With my background as a sports and fitness manager and as a nutritional scientist, I help people lose weight, support metabolic and liver health, and build habits that work in everyday life.

My professional journey

Sports and fitness administrator
2009-2011, Schleswig, Germany
My entry into the fitness industry began with my training as a sports and fitness manager. During this time, I developed a strong interest in sports nutrition and exercise physiology. Working with clients and other fitness professionals gave me valuable insight into program design, client support, and the importance of individualized fitness plans. At the same time, it became clear to me that I wanted to understand nutrition on a much deeper scientific level.

Nutritional Science Studies, BSc. + MSc.
2011-2016, Jena, Germany
Driven to deepen my understanding, I went on to complete both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences. During this time, I focused on nutritional physiology and metabolism, examining how macronutrients, vitamins and minerals influence health and physical performance. Over the years, I developed a strong interest in diet related diseases, especially non alcoholic fatty liver disease and other metabolic disorders. This focus ultimately led me to pursue a PhD in Nutritional Sciences.

PhD & Postdoctoral Research
2016-2023, Vienna, Austria
My doctoral and postdoctoral research at the University of Vienna focused on liver diseases, inflammation, and the role of nutrition in metabolic health. I conducted human and animal studies, investigated cancer cell lines, and published multiple scientific papers. This experience deepened my expertise in evidence-based nutrition and reinforced my mission: to bridge the gap between research and practical nutritional consulting.
From Science to Practice
Over the years, I have worked across research and practice, from the fitness industry to academic studies and scientific labs. With a background in sports and nutrition sciences, I take a comprehensive view of health, performance, and metabolic well-being, and I use this perspective to support you with practical solutions.
I know how confusing misinformation and conflicting advice can be. My goal is to give you clear, science-based guidance and to translate research into practical steps that are tailored to your needs. You understand the reasoning, and you know exactly how to apply it in everyday life.
Whether you focus on sports performance, metabolic health, or day-to-day nutrition, I help you use evidence-based knowledge to reach your individual goals.
